Midjourney Office Hours 15/02/23

Here are my jotted down notes for this weeks office hours, enjoy.

1. They are not working on V4, they are focusing on V5
2. They may launch V5 without an upscale because the initial images will already be upscaled
3. --tile parameter is looking good but may only be out in V5
4. They are experimenting with inpainting and outpainting but MJ's algorithm is very different to Stable Diffusion and Dal-e
5. Outpainting is working where it's a zoom out feature, this will likely be for V5.
6. They are struggling with Inpainting
7. Testing out new ways of ranking images soon and may do a 'V4 rating contest" possibly with prizes.
8. Ranking for some V5 images in a week or two
9. They want to turn Daily Theme into a ranking competition with prizes
10. They want V5 V6 V7 to come out close one after the other like a train.
11. Hands will improve in V5
12. They want to change the website and make it simpler and better
13. There is a new search tool coming
14. The MJ Discord server is getting too big and they don't know what to do but will figure  it out. Worst case they will split the server. The problem is the trial members coming in so fast.
15. They are working on an image to text, perhaps the best one we have seen.
16. They want to do more art demos.
17. There may be celebrity events on Midjourney discord
18. The magazine is coming but shipping is expensive so it can't be free forever.
19. The magazine will be a physical object and not online.
20. They are considering putting Midjourney on other social media platforms as well.
21. David doesn't like bulk delete, says it's unhealthy, want's an open by default society.
22. There will be hackathons when they do API's
23. They are looking to hire on front end.
24. "Q2 is disabled" (this is a direct quote!)
